Royal Caribbean International Sponsored Project

Royal Caribbean International sponsors this project with the aim of crafting an engaging vacation experience on their cruise ships. I work with a team of three other interdisplinary designers, and our goal was to design a comprehensive and ever-evolving community space where our guests can fully relish their cruise vacations. Whether it pertains to dining and beverages, entertainment, retail, leisure and rejuvenation, navigation and transportation, or the overall optimization of space usage, every facet of daily life comes into play. My role was to create concept sketches, build 3D assets for the environments, and  edit both the mood and final concept video .

The storied legacy of sailing seamlessly intertwines with the profound connection between the sea and the cosmos. Through color and material strategies, people flow, and staging, we guide our guests on a journey through the seas and skies. With all the essential elements considered, we were also compounded by the unique challenges of creating functional space on dynamic oceanic setting and limited area on the cruise.

In Aetherius, we unite these contrasting realms, infusing them with an enchanting mystique. At the core of our endeavor is a mission to transport our guests to a surreal realm where the distinctions between the ocean and the stars dissolve, and limitless possibilities take flight.

Unreal Engine 5 served as the primary rendering engine for our final deliverables. Now, please enjoy our concluding walkthrough video of Aetherius:
